Bitfinex Is Hacked by `Razzlekhan`

Hackers steal 119,756 BTC (~$72M) from Bitfinex exchange in the second largest Bitcoin theft at the time. In 2022, U.S. authorities arrested Ilya Lichtenstein and Heather `Razzlekhan` Morgan for laundering the stolen funds, marking one of the largest financial seizure cases ever. In 2026, Ilya Lichtenstein, was released early from prison under the First Step Act and is now on home confinement.
